SNOOPY FLIES IN!
On Saturday night at the Greenwald Paceway the ponies competed for a rug and trophies donated by P&L Livestock and Real Estate.
Snoopy with Kylie Shepherd took out their second win for the season. Off the front mark they trotted faultlessly to lead all the way ahead of a fast finishing Pumpkin from the back mark (Emma Greenfield) with recent winner Pamela (Joshua Micallef) in third place.
Grouped over the line together Minty (Hayley Greenfield) finished fourth, from Matthew Shepherd (Frankie Under Fire), Willow (Abbey Gull), Slim Dusty (Stacey Barker) ahead of the usually consistent Marmalade (Jackie Barker) who had trouble striding out.
This week the Summer Carnival of Cups continues, with the feature event being the Balnaves of Penola, Five Star Seafoods & Highway Super Deli Mount Gambier Pony Gold Cup. This week ponies will race for trophies and a rug and will be supported by a full race program and childrens entertainment.
