The next event had a field of six in it. All ponies trotted away with Born To Be Wild out in front from Little Kizz, Cowboy Road, Westbury Bogart, Chilli Knights and last week’s winner Summer Surprise. Half way down the straight Born To Be Wild still had a handy lead over Little Kizz who was getting closer with every stride. Little Kizz and Born To Be Wild hit the line locked together for a photo finish.

The judges couldn’t split them apart, resulting in a dead heat between Born to be Wild and Little Kizz with Chilli Knights finishing third.

The third race of the night was the Shetlands, with a field of six taking to the track. When the flag went down all ponies trotted away nicely with PJ the early leader followed by Razzle Dazzle, Swamp Fire, Eddy’s A Fake, Pee Wee 50 and the back marker Ben Ten seeing the action in front of him. Heading into front straight PJ was still the leader until Razzle Dazzle raced up on the outside and took the lead, with Razzle out in front Eddy’s A Fake was making up enough ground to be in the photo finish with him.

The judges separated them with Razzle Dazzle winning by nose from Eddy’s A Fake and Swamp Fire wasn’t far away third.

The last race of the night saw seven ponies take to the track. All ponies stepped away nicely with Reggie Ledgie out in front from Aussie, Petti Cheval, Mr Mischief, Way To Go, Wynkie Sweet Fairytales and the backmarker Lapanacaton. With about 30 metres to go Reggie Ledgie was still out in front, however Petti Cheval, Mr Mischief and Lapanacaton were making their late runs to the finishing line. With Petti Cheval getting to the line first, making this Jennifer Lehmann’s first win of the season, second was Mr Mischief and third was Lapanacaton.
