With a small field of five taking to the track, when the start said go PJ was the early leader being off the front mark from Razzle Dazzle, Swamp Fire, White Lightning and the back marker Mr Mysterious.

Coming around the bend into the straight PJ was still the leader but White Lightning hooked out to make his run up towards the leader and kicked away by a big margin, Swamp Fire and Mr Mysterious were battling out the final placings.

The final results were 1st White Lightning and Annalyse Brewin, 2nd Swamp Fire and Nicholas Brown and 3rd Mr Mysterious and Bailey Hoare.

Footnote: There have been adventures in the Brewin camp over the past few days.  If you saw Jayden on Saturday night you would have noticed he was on crutches after twisting his leg. With Jayden out of action he was unable to drive his pony Chocolate Thunder in Race 2 making it a late driving change to Branden Fuller.  During the day his sister Annalyse took the reins on Chocolate Thunder only to be unseated. A great recovery from Annalyse with a bitter sweet end as we witnessed her drive her first winner on her own pony White Lightning - Congratulations.

When the flag dropped all ponies stepped away nicely with Born To Be Wild out in front from Little Kizz, So What, Chocolate Thunder, Cowboy Road, Aadelaidee Lady and the two back makers Chilli Knights and Summer Surprise.

Born To Be Wild was still in front at Norman’s Gate but So What raced up on the outside and challenged for the lead and soon took over and went for home. Aadelaidee Lady and Summer Surprise both made their runs up the straight. So What went on to win from Cowboy Road in second and in third was Aadelaidee Lady.

After a discussion between the Stewards it was decided that Cowboy Road be relegated from 2nd back to 8th due to excessive galloping throughout the race.
