With this being our Christmas Eve meeting Santa was looking for a pony to help him carry his sack of lollies to the children on the lawn, when Wandarra Tess found out she was very excited and offered to help.

Our Association sold lucky squares on the night. We are very grateful for all participants who brought an item to go in one of our two Christmas baskets where the was some excellent items donated. The winners of the two baskets were number 47 Jim Smith and number 20 Jessica Newman.

 

Also, thank you to Nikki Lines-Lee for preparing the baskets and Bettina Allen and Heather Donsberg for selling the squares.

When stater said go all five stepped away nicely with PJ out in front from stable mate Razzle Dazzle, Swamp Fire, the first starter White Lightning and Mr Mysterious.

 

PJ was still the leader around the bend heading into the straight; White Lightning was putting in the strides to pick up this leader. Razzle Dazzle, Swamp Fire and Mr Mysterious were all making up ground.

 

Half way up the straight White Lightning and Jayden Brewin took over the lead and went for home and scored by 15 metres from PJ and Branden Fuller in second and My Mysterious and Bailey Hoare back in third.

When the flag dropped all eight ponies trotted away from their marks nicely.

 

Coming into the bend Born To Be Wild was out in front trotting nicely; Little Kizz was behind the leader on pegs; So What pulled off of Little Kizz’ back to make her run up to the leader and rest of the field lead by Chocolate thunder weren’t too far way making up ground.

 

Heading into the straight So What was in front and making every post a winner, Chocolate Thunder was trying to run down the leader but it was too late. So What and Jennifer Lehmann scored by 15 metres from Chocolate Thunder and Jayden Brewin in second and in third was Little Kizz and Christie Gilbert.

So What and Jennifer Lehmann crossing the line first and at presentation receiving their medal from Nicole Lee.

With a small field of four ponies taking to the track. Midnight Star trotted away nicely from Ben Ten, Wandarra Tess and Jimmy Cricket.

 

The order didn’t change until the home straight where Midnight Star was still trotting to perfection out in front; Wandarra Tess had ran into second making up plenty of ground from her back mark and both Ben Ten and Jimmy Cricket were trying to make up ground.

 

Midnight Star and Sharni Newman went on to win from Wandarra Tess and Jacinta Gilbert in second, Ben Ten and Jason Kittel came third and Jimmy Cricket and Chantelle Rendall wasn’t far away in fourth.

For the final race of the night. When the flag went down Aussie stepped away from her mark nicely from Lapanacaton, Mr Mischief, Way To Go and Wynkie Sweet Fairytales.

 

Coming into the bend Aussie was still out in front from Mr Mischief and Wynkie Sweet Fairytales who was making her run three wide to take over the lead. Way To Go and Lapanacaton weren’t too far away.

 

Coming down the straight Wynkie Sweet Fairytales and Chantelle Rendall had a big enough lead and went on to win from Mr Mischief and Bailey Hoare in second and Way To Go and Jennifer Lehmann finished strongly for third.
