Pee Wee 50 and Shannon Platts after dead-heating

All ponies stepped away nicely in the first event.  Turning for home PJ was in front with Chickabarquar about to take over from Pee Wee 50, Eddy’s A Fake and Ben Ten coming wide.

There was a good finish looming down the straight between Pee Wee 50 on the outside of Chickabarquar on the rails as they were going nose for nose.  Consequently as they hit the line the judge couldn’t separate them and it was declared a dead heat.  Eddy’s A Fake finished 2nd with a length to Ben Ten, Razzle Dazzle and Swamp Fire.

In the second event for the night the wind upset a few of the ponies with them not performing as well as expected.  Turning for home Cowboy Road was in front of Little Kizz, Westbury Bogart and Mr Mischief.

Mr Mischief showed his customary fast finish and dashed away to win for Bailey Hoare making it three wins in his last four starts.  Little Kizz stuck to the rails and kicked through to beat Cowboy Road.

Way To Go crossing the line first

Way To Go and Kathryn Lehmann after winning

The final event for the night was run over 800 metres where all ponies stepped away nicely.  At the 400 metre mark Reggie Ledgie who had a 110 metre head start was trotting along nicely out in front with a gap back to Way To Go and Lapanacaton.

Turning for home Reggie Ledgie was still out in front as Way To Go and Kathryn Lehmann in a nice piece of driving pulled to the sprint lane unfortunately giving Reggie a little fright, Reggie jumped sideways into the path of Lapanacaton but a good piece of driving by Nicholas Brown avoided hitting Reggie Ledgie as he steered Lapanacaton back to the inside.

Way To Go went on to win from Lapanacaton and Reggie Ledgie in third placing.
