To kick start tonight’s return of pony racing was the Shetland class, with a field of seven lining up. When the starter said go PJ was an early leader being off the front followed by his stable mate Razzle Dazzle, with Ben Ten running third, and then we had Midnight Star, Crackerjack, Jimmy Cricket and the back maker Wandarra Tess.

Heading into the straight PJ still had a good lead over Razzle Dazzle and Ben Ten, Crackerjack Jimmy Cricket were both pulled to the outside to make their late runs with Wandarra Tess taking the shortest way home on the fence. Half way down the running it was a two pony race between Crackerjack and Wandarra Tess, they were stride for stride with 30 metres to go when Wandarra Tess pulled away and went on to win b y 5 metres from Crackerjack in second and in third was Jimmy Cricket who made his return to racing after many years.
