When the flag dropped PJ trotted away nicely out in front and was trying to make every post a winner not too far behind was Razzle Dazzle, Swamp Fire, Loosen Up Lewie, My Mysterious, Jessiefoss and Pee Wee 50.

 

Coming into the straight PJ still had a handy lead over rest of field; Jessiefoss was making his run down the outside with Swamp Fire sticking to the fence and the rest were trying their hardest to pick up the leader. Half way down the straight PJ was claimed on the outside by Jessiefoss, who went to score by 5 metres over Swamp Fire and in third was My Mysterious who stormed home.

All ponies stepped away safely with Born To Be Wild out in front from So What, Chocolate Thunder, Little Kizz, Cowboy Road, Chilli Knights and Summer Surprise.

 

So What with Jacinta Gilbert in sulky for Jennifer Lehmann took over the lead from Born To Be Wild at the 450 metre mark, Chocolate Thunder and Little Kizz were racing side by side and the rest of the field were making ground nicely.

 

Coming into the straight So What was out in front when he took fright at the seagulls on the inside of the track, Chocolate Thunder went to the lead and went on to score by a narrow margin from the ultra consistent Chilli Knights and in third was Cowboy Road.

With the scratching of Wandarra Tess a small field of five to go around. Midnight Star trotted away perfectly from Ben Ten, Spike It Up who was putting in a few rough ones, followed by Crackerjack and Jimmy Cricket.

 

Coming around the bend into the straight Midnight Star was out in front and trotting nicely, Ben Ten was making up ground, Spike It Up was still galloping and young Alyssa Cappelluti was trying her hardest to pull him up but nothing was working until Terry Hoare jumped fence to help Alyssa with her pony and was retired from the race. With about 60 to go Ben Ten took over the lead from Midnight Star and by 10 metres, Jimmy Cricket ran third and Crackerjack wasn’t too far away the fourth. Ben Ten was relegated from first back to second due to galloping.

 

The final placings were 1st Midnight Star, 2nd Ben Ten and 3rd Jimmy Cricket.

RACE  4– ADELAIDE PLAINS EQUINE CLINIC TROT

On the final event of the night when the starter said go Lapanacaton begin fast from his mark and was leading from Aussie, Way To Go, Wynkie Sweet Fairytales and Mr Mischief.

 

Coming into the straight Lapanacaton was still in front, Aussie was trying to pick up the leader and the other three ponies were running on. Lapanacaton won by 5 metres from Aussie in second and Wynkie Sweet Fairytales came third. Wynkie Sweet Fairytales was relegated from third back to fourth due to galloping.

 

The final placings were 1st Lapanacaton, 2nd Aussie and 3rd Way To Go.
